My computer memory is getting full again and while looking for stuff to delete i stumbled upon a day in the life i did last october, and never posted. so here it is. i lived in a different place with a different job (had two at the time). so yeah, kinda irrelevant, but it shouldn't go to waste! lets see if i can remember what was going on.
oh, also, i have caught up on my guilty pleasure, american idol. my favorite is adam lambert. so sassy and cute! travis' parents hate him of course cuz he is gay. but he's so flippin' amazing!
i had the opening shift at whole foods. dang i haven't gotten up that early in a long long time. thank god.
bed head. this was when murray wasn't allowed to sleep with us and he clung to me like a little monkey all morning. such a sweet little baby.
ready getting supplies. i must have changed my plugs. those are the biggest ones i have. i haven't put them in again because i'm a wuss and it hurts!
breakfast. that whole foods brand yogurt turned out to be gross. we always get stoneyfield farm now. i try to eat it everyday so my digestive tract stays healthy. or something.
i used to drink one of these on the way to work everyday. so good. i don't drink soda very much anymore. i miss it.
goodbye apartment!
can you believe i STILL drive an hour to work? i have never had a job near my house. geeze.
whole foods! see the pumpkins out front? so cute!
the view from my register! it's always so dead in the morning. so boring. the store opens at eight and there would really be no one shopping until 9:30 or 10.
first break. i sat out front behind the plants. such a nice break spot. those unsulphored pineapple slices are so amazing. i was obsessed with them. now i can't figure out how many points they are so i haven't been eating them.
lunch break! man their pizza is good. and milo's sweet tea! ahh! this is all pre-diet and its making me nostalgic for the days when i ate pizza almost every day! yum.
 
i did a little grocery shopping before i left.
timecheck. and on my way to my second job. i had it for about three weeks. i drove down music row. which made me feel pretty cool.
back in this little building...
doing design work for american songwriter magazine!
lots of copy edits. and thinking. haha.
time to go! but not home yet! down music row again!
past the naked statue that scandalizes my in-laws!
heading downtown. i don't think nashville has a very exciting skyline.
to the flying saucer for trivia night!! yes!
carrie and bethany ask for a whole pitcher of diet coke because they drink so much.
OMG i miss cheese fries so much!!! gah!!!
ryan gets me to guess which pez he brought that week. i can usually get it right. except the time he said it was a mammel, and it was a SHARK!
i'm score keeper. ryan usually writes the answers. i think that question must be what states are only bordered by two other states...
i think we ended up in the "here for a beer" category.
so sad that we are doing so bad!
when we get outside we notice we all parked in a line! totally by accident. so cute! so we took a dorky picture of course!
timecheck going home.
i made a caramel apple. yum!
murray helped me do the dishes.
 
travis is home! i remember that he was halfway into his pj's and i made him get dressed again so i could take a picture.
we watch that movie until it's time for bed. that is supposed to be a timecheck.

we actually met in high school. we just both love working for whole foods. he still works there. i've had three lj's and they are basically a chronicling of our relationship! i'm so glad i have them to read over. actually, he asked me out because he read my lj all about how much of a crush i had on him. he was that guy in high school i was totally in love with and had a nickname for him that i used with my friends. we've been together ever since. we'll have been together 7 years in a few weeks. here is a post that has a bunch of pictures of us throughout: http://beastwith5hands.livejournal.com/256062.html#cutid1

i think i am the only person who doesn't like adam! i don't know, i just don't like his voice. i'm sure he and danny will be the final two though - the producers LOVE them. i just hope they keep loving my american idol boyfriend, anoop <3

omg i miss pizza so much!!! i've only had it three times this year! and i used to have it at least three times a week!
it's on a little place mat with a ledge around it. it helps keep the floor dry because they are always splashing their water all over!!

This was great! I loved the idea of trivia night and the fact you all parked in a row. I think Canada has Whole Foods too, but I've never been to one...are they just healthier stores with more organic options or something?
Did you and Travis really start dating because he read how much you liked him in your LJ? That is soooo neat!

Whole Foods is an all natural store. They have barely anything you would find at a "regular" grocery store. There can't be artificial flavors or colors or preservatives, meat can't have added hormones, lots of things like that. they also have a ton of organic stuff! if you are near one it's worth a trip. the stores are usually beautiful and the prepared food dept is AMAZING.
and yes, he asked me out because he saw me gushing about him on my lj. i was so embarassed!!! but now i'm glad he saw it. | |
